Novan military is separated into the following branches:

• ground forces (infantry, artillery)
• Space Navy (space marines, Fleet)
• air/space fighters (pilots/bombers)

Ground Forces

• Fireteam - 2-3 soldiers, led by a Corporal
• squad - 2-3 fireteams, led by a sergeant
• platoon - 3+squads, led by a lieutenant
• company - 4 platoons led by a captain
• battalion - 4 companies, led by a leiutenant colonel
• brigade - 3-4 battalions, led by a colonel
• division - 3-4 brigades, led by Major General
